Where will you stay on your safari?

Gibb's Farm

I love Gibb's farm because it is an oasis of tranquility, a green haven of peace in a landscape that can often be parched, dry and dusty. To sit in the garden for afternoon tea, looking out over the view to the rift valley, marveling at the colors of the birds and the flowers, is balm for the soul of the traveler.

The lodges' 20 rooms are set among exquisite gardens. The dining room (which serves fresh, home-cooked meals), the bar and gift shop, are situated in the old farmhouse.

Coffee is grown, processed and roasted on the farm, and a vast ten-acre fruit and organic vegetable garden provides nearly all the fruit and vegetables to guests. Wake up to fresh coffee, a multitude of flowers and breathtaking views!

Gibb's Farm provides a welcome stop on any safari, and a base from which to enjoy the many activities available in the foothills of the Ngorongoro Crater. Even if your stay is short, find time for a gentle walk or tour of their gardens.
